Mornay Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup romano cheese
  • 1 dash nutmeg
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Melt butter in sauce pan.
  • Whisk in flour until combined.
  • Add heavy cream and whole milk, consistently whisking until thick.
  • Whisk in cheese until incorporated.
  • Add in nutmeg and salt & pepper to taste.
