Each fall, we attend our favorite BBQ competition: the Jack Daniels World Invitational.  The Lynchburg Lemonade cocktail is a nod to that competition, as it flows freely during the event dinner on the hill.  Back home, we enjoy drinking this refreshing cocktail on the porch on warm summer nights.

Lynchburg Lemonade

A refreshing cocktail for warm summer days.

Equipment

  • Jigger
  • Shaker

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 oz Whiskey
  • 1 oz Triple sec
  • 1 oz Fresh-squeezed lemon juice
  • Lemon-lime soda

Instructions
 

  • Add whiskey, triple sec and lemon juice to shaker with ice.
  • Shake for 15 seconds, then pour over ice.
  • Top drink with soda and garnish with lemon slice.
